On Octobler 29, when our president-elect Jokowi is inaugurated, Slank is to perform on stage to celebrate it. There will be snacks and foods which people can enjoy during the street party. Both Jokowi and Jusuf Kala, says street party organizer Iwan Dwi Laksono, will ride a horse-drawn carriage from Semanggi Hotel Indonesia to traffic circle, with some traditional performances such as Chinese barongsai and Reog Ponorogo.

Street vendors have signed up for a place to give soto, bakso, noodles etc. free to the visitors. More than 600 venders come to provide the foods. Volunteers from Java and Sumatra, about 50,000 people, will also join to support the event.

“The security of the president, vice president and world leaders will be the responsibility of the TNI. In addition to that, the police have prepared a team to support the Paspampres” said police, as I quoted from The Jakarta Post.

This event is also attended by US Secretary of State John Kerry, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Besides world leaders, the MPR, as reported by The Jakarta Globe, invites all former presidents and vice presidents, including all chairpersons of political parties.
