Twitter protests against US subpoenas for WikileaksAfter US court subpoenaed microblogging service Twitter for Wikileaks account information in mid-December, the site now protested, refusing to provide any details of its users. Twitter has also called on Facebook and Google, two giant online companies, to reveal whether they receive the same orders from the court.

Slashdot wrote:

Twitter has protested against the subpoena and informed the individuals whose account information has been requested, while raising the possibility that other social networking players have received similar orders."
